HEAVENLY HIGHLITES From the April 2, 2012 Board Meeting
· Lorraine King continues to deliver food from our donation basket to the Food Bank. · The Grade 9 Mayfield Art Show Open House on March 28 was well attended. 34 pieces of art were hung in the Deep Roots Room and the Friendship Room. The students were very proud to show their work to people outside their family/school area. Many thanks to the Outreach Team. · Rev. Sue, John, Luke and Mady Sie enjoyed their wonderful trip to Jordan and Israel. · Wednesday night study group is continuing using the book “An Altar in the World” by Barbara Brown Taylor · We are still looking for someone to replace Lenora Netzke as Faith Formation leader. · Knox will host Presbytery on April 21st · A Senior’s English Tea will be held on April 24th · David Forbes will be preparing a calendar of future events to inform the congregation · The last day of Sunday School will be June 3rd with Teacher Recognition · June 10th will be an outdoor service at Ron and Sue Kyles. · The community sign, which was erected in 1998, will be taken down and replaced. There is no idea where or what kind of sign will replace it. · Our new WEB site is progressing · The Stewardship Team will be conducting a Spiritual Gift Inventory with members of the congregation · As some seniors are having trouble hearing in the sanctuary, Ron Kyle will look into installing speakers at the back corners of the church. |
